Empowerment and Sustainability with the Paiter Suruí Women

The indigenous women of the Apoena Meirelles village in the Sete de Setembro Indigenous Land are transforming previously discarded chestnut hedgehogs into incredible therapeutic candles! 🕯️✨

After taking part in a course offered by Saboaria Rondônia, these women decided to produce their own candles to generate income and strengthen their communities. 💪🏽❤️

The Amazonas Institute, in partnership with the Garah Pameh Kabaney Association, is supporting these warriors with the utensils and tools needed for production. This initiative not only promotes sustainability, but also protects the forest and improves the families' quality of life. 🌿🌳

Let's support this cause together and value the work of these incredible women! 🌟
