On 5 June, we celebrate World Environment Day, a date established by the UN in 1972 to reinforce the importance of environmental preservation and global action against climate change. Today, more than ever, protecting nature means protecting life!

Heatwaves, severe droughts and devastating floods show that environmental impacts are real and directly affect human health. At the Amazonas Institute, we work every day to mitigate these effects with concrete actions:

Preserving forests and biodiversity - Restoring degraded areas and combating deforestation.

Strengthening indigenous and riverine women - Guardians of the forest, essential in the fight against climate change.

The Amazon plays a fundamental role in the planet's climate balance.
