Green Pharmacy

The Green pharmacy has social, clinical and economic benefits for everyone. The project intends to give women the opportunity to revive the knowledge and traditional use of medicinal plants and, at the same time, to have access to quality and low cost herbal remedies.

Goals:

• Create workshops to teach the cultivation of medicinal plants from the cerrado and the forest and show their proven scientific use in different health treatments;

• Make women aware of the need to preserve the environment, to strengthen family farming and to revive their traditional knowledge of the use of medicinal plants. Cultivation of medicinal plants can be a source of income and help tribal knowledge over health;

• Teach homemade preparations of teas, syrups and other high quality herbal products.
